A Three Letter Word Beginning with S
AtlanticBlog: "Josh Chafetz at OxBlog recommends a brand new blog, MaroonBlog (its first post was January 27th), which is purportedly by University of Chicago student Jason Broander. Sadly, the blog is clearly deceitful. One of its first posts, up yesterday, purports to show Mr. Broander and his girlfriend. Either he is not at the U of C, or it is his sister. Everyone knows University of Chicago students do not have girlfriends.
Seriously, it looks to be a good addition to the blogworld."
Yes, I've been caught....I'm a fraud.....well, not really (Heather is wonderful). But, what Mr. Sjostrom points out is one of the stereotypes that we Maroons must endure here at Chicago.
While most of us may not be the prettiest people in the world (another stereotype), we've at least got really cool T-Shirts. My personal favorite is one that reads on the front "University of Chicago"; on the back it says in large, bold letters, "Where fun comes to die". So true.
Another, more applicable to Mr. Sjostrom's statement, is the tshirt that reads about the UofC, "Where the pigeon are more aggressive than the guys and the squirrels are cuter than the girls". Not totally true, but still funny.
There's a third that is written out in mathematical sumbols: "the limit as U approaches U(C) of the integral of e^x is equal to zero".....write it out, and you'll get the joke;)
