Strategy and Tactics

The democrats have asked for a strategy in Iraq. They have recieved a detailed document and speech from the President outlining our strategy. Yet they complain that these documents are not what they wanted. Apparently they wanted to hear about tactics. Strategy and tactics are different, obviously, although articulating the difference is something a lot of people have trouble with--not surprisingly politicians are among this group.

They got what they asked for. Maybe they'll be more clear next time.
