You might be a grad student if...
I'm not yet a grad student, and I already resemble a large majority of the items in this list. I guess that means I'd better become a grad student, huh?

I am amazed that these lists are still around. I wrote the second one first and posted it to rec.humor (remember usenet?) in April of 1995 when I was in grad school at Iowa. I wrote most of the first one (all but the last 7 items, which other people have added) in May of 1995 and posted them to alt.gradstudent.tenured. The first list came back to me in just three days, shorn of my name - a friend thought it was funny and passed it along. It's good to see that people still like the lists.
